Frequently Asked Questions Q: I'm looking for a new job. How can I cross-over into another position or industry? A: Since there may be several tenured candidates vying for that position or industry, it's important to leverage any existing experience that may apply, even remotely. It could take a couple steps to eventually get to your dream job, but progress and momentum is always a positive. Q: I'm a recent grad and have very little experience, how can I get a job? A: Volunteering is an ideal way to get experience, help out a good cause and even make new friends. Environmental clubs like Heal the Bay and local churches have several events each year and always looking for some good people. Q: I'm building/updating my resume. What do you recommend to make it more impactful? A: Dollars, numbers and percentages are business terms that are common across nearly every industry. Use those types of terms instead of unclear acronyms and more importantly, illustrate how you improved productivity, saved time or increase profits.
